Welcome to leftsource.com!Latch hooking is easy. Once you hook your first yarn, you'll be on your way. Follow the instructions below, and you will have a project done in no time. It is advisable to put together an off-the-shelf retail kit before attempting a custom project. |
1. Hold your latch hook tool with your right hand. 2. Fold a piece of yarn around the latch hook tool, below the hook. 3. Hold the piece of yarn in place with the index finger of your right hand.
4. Push the latch hook down into one hole in the grid, and back out the hole directly above. Do not let the yarn enter the hole in the grid.
5. Using your left hand, place the yarn between the latch and the hook. The yarn should be all on top of the grid, and should be over the top of one strand of the grid. Make sure the ends are even.
6. Quickly pull the latch hook back through the grid, pulling the yarn with it. The yarn will be in a knot around one strand of the grid.
7. Pull on the two ends of the yarn to tighten the knot. |
